Sometimes what we think we are angry at is hidden even from ourselves. When we can uncover the real cause of our anger, often with the help of a supportive community, the pain underlying anger can be transformed into a healing and energizing part of ourselves.

Susan Schreiber-DeVillez was formerly a clinical social worker/psychotherapist and instructor in behavioral sciences for National-Louis University, In her spare time she enjoys writing and has co-authored a textbook on writing for college students. Today she helps Mano-a-Mano in Round Lake Park prepare permanent residents for citizenship. She lives with Twinkie, a senior terrier and highly evolved spiritual advisor.
